Borders Schools Countryside Day

A fun and frantic day was enjoyed by all, introducing the Primary 5 children of the Scottish Borders to the world of beekeeping. Here’s the happy crew all ready to make 300 plus rolled candles, 400 odd encaustic art bookmarks, and hand out hundreds and hundreds of ‘I’ve spotted the Queen’ stickers. Resplendent in our new BBA aprons, making us easily identifiable as the people to ask about all things bees. Thank you, John Wilkinson, for bringing Her Ladyship out for the day, and a massive thank you to the team for their work on the event. If you’d like to be involved in any future events and share your knowledge and enthusiasm, please get in touch with the Education co-ordinator via the BBA website.
