The 2026 Honey Show:
A Judge-Led Experience
Ever wondered what separates a prize-winning jar from a perfectly nice one that scores nothing? This year, you get to find out, because the judge is going to tell you as she does it. We have retired the usual silent competition. The 2026 BBA Honey Show is about the craft behind the jar: what good looks like, why it looks that way, and how to get yours closer to it. You do not need a shelf of rosettes to come. If you have never dressed a jar for the show bench in your life, this is the session that explains how and why it matters. Regulars will pick up plenty too.

We are pleased to welcome Elaine Hargreaves. Elaine will lead the session, explaining her judging process as she goes. You will see exactly what she looks for in a winning entry. There is no better way to understand the standards required for liquid honey, wax, and crafts.
