Bee health is key to stronger, more productive colonies. While most know about Varroa, threats like Nosema, foulbrood (EFB/AFB), and the yellow-legged hornet are rising locally – EFB is now spreading south from Midlothian.

The good news is that the BBA is partnering with SASA and SRUC for a classroom-based day of theory and practical training (early June 2027, TBC). Topics include pest ID, hive autopsies, and more.
