About 2026 course
This course helps build capable beekeepers through seasoned methods that serve both bees and beekeepers well. Six sessions offer presentations, interactive discussion with tutors, and a detailed 50+ page handout. Four in-person, two online sessions - dates below. A practical apiary session follows in Spring. For 2026 beginners who wish, we’ll match you with BBA mentors for hands-on experience before buying bees. Local sourcing strongly encouraged; starter colonies available from members mid-June.
Cost: £150 (includes BBA membership for 2026 & 2027)
