Seven BBA members enjoyed a sunny and dry visit  to my apiary at Bleachfield.

We found and marked queen bees, one of which took off and circled the hive before settling back on the landing board.

The queenless hive was given a frame of brood containing a sealed queen cell. 

Miranda agreed to exchange a nucleus of her black bees for a nucleus of my bees at a future time.

We finished off  by sitting in the sun enjoying drinks and Annie's home baking.
