Caddon Hives / Abelo Visit

“Beekeepers from all over the borders met at Caddon Hives/Abelo at Caddonfoot on a damp Saturday morning in late November.  We enjoyed seeing the range of kit on display as well as being able to take advantage of splendid tea/coffee and cakes - not to mention the 20% discount. Among the products was this splendid educational hive!”

“The visit to Abelo/Cadden Hives at Caddonfoot this weekend was very productive- especially for me. We were the first vehicle in the car park and therefore the first people at the lovely scones and coffee table. We also met the gorgeous wee sausage dog who barked loudly at us in defence of his realm. I explained to the wee dog that all small, short-legged versions of every species must bark loudly to be noticed and that I understood this, being small and short-legged myself. I was then rewarded with wee licks and gracious tolerance!

I had made a pre-order to try to contain our enthusiasm for all things bee but, as you can imagine, more items were considered essential and my piggy bank was a lot slimmer by the time we left - Christmas shopping complete, I hope. The car park was full by that time and cars were parked across the road from the premises so the visit was clearly well supported. I hope that the rest of the day was as busy as the first hour and BBA owes a big thank you to Kerry from Abelo and Peter from Caddon Hives for accommodating us. Hopefully, this type of event can be repeated in the future.”
