At the recent Borders Beekeepers Association (BBA) event, the team once again set up a lively table to share the fascinating world of beekeeping. Volunteers eagerly took on roles ranging from badge making and queen spotting to candle making and the intriguing craft of encaustic art; because who doesn’t enjoy a little beeswax creativity? Special thanks went to those who tackled the less glamorous but essential job of transporting banners and posters between the Kelso Bee Shed and the showground, ensuring the display looked as buzzing as the bees themselves.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of these volunteers, the BBA successfully offered a full roster of children’s activities, making the event as smooth and enjoyable as a perfectly brewed cup of honey-sweetened tea. It just goes to show what can be accomplished when a community comes together, proving once again that teamwork truly is the secret ingredient to a thriving beekeeping association.
