Members’ Sale of Bees & Equipment

Bees & Equipment for Sale by members

Members of the BBA may advertise here to sell bees and/or equipment. These pages are public, so you may receive enquiries from non-members. To advertise, please contact our secretary with itemised details and price. BBA is unable to provide pricing guidance for items other than nucleus colonies.

Nucleus colony criteria:

The association recommends a minimum price of £180 for a young colony on 5 frames in a nucleus hive, to include the frames. It should consist of a marked, laying queen, with at least 2 frames each of brood and stores and well-filled with bees. The queen should be of the current season unless sold in Spring after overwintering. Ideally, all frames should be fully drawn. Members advertising nucs on this page undertake to adhere to these criteria.

NOTE: All transactions are solely between the buyer and seller and not the responsibility or liability of the association in any way. The association has not inspected or validated any equipment being offered for sale.
